Virgin Islands Congresswoman Stacey Plaskett issued the following statement regarding the shooting death of an 18-month-old child in St. Thomas Wednesday.

“The shooting death of this innocent child shocks the psyche. It is both senseless and barbaric, and is, sadly, yet another example of why we have offered to work with the local officials to formulate a comprehensive territorial action plan to mitigate the scourge of gun violence in our community.”
