ST. CROIX- Virgin Islands Congresswoman Stacey Plaskett issued the following statement on reports of internet service disruption in St. John:

"Various residents of St. John have recently contacted my office regarding a dispute between two entities which, unfortunately, has led to internet service disruption for many residents and visitors on St. John. I understand the sensitivities and the importance of this critical service and have contacted and been engaged with the parties involved, and have also urged the Government of the Virgin Islands to address this issue. I am hopeful the parties involved can resolve this matter in a manner that will minimize any further lapses in communication and commerce, to which end, I am committed to lending any support I can within the scope of my responsibilities as Delegate to Congress."
