Virgin Islands Congresswoman Stacey Plaskett released the following statement on the death of Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia:

My thoughts and prayers are with the entire Scalia family. Whether or not you agreed with Justice Scalia’s views, he was a brilliant jurist and served our nation with distinction during his three decades on the Supreme Court. He has been one of the strongest voices in the debate around our Constitution. There is no doubt that his death leaves a void on the Court.
