Congresswoman Stacey Plaskett Launches New Show

“The Virgin Islands Congressional District gets another informational source,” stated Congresswoman Plaskett

WASHINGTON, DC - Congresswoman Stacey Plaskett, a Member of the House Committee on Agriculture and the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, issued the following statement announcing the launch of a new show for her constituents:
“On Thursday, August 31st at 8:30 PM, Channel 12/90 I will launch a new show in the Virgin Islands. ‘The Washington Report with Congresswoman Stacey Plaskett’ will be a bi-monthly show created to educate and inform my Congressional District on current issues that directly affect the Virgin Islands community. The show’s guests range from political leaders to community activists and premieres in August of 2017 on Virgin Islands Public Broadcasting System WTJX-TV Channel 12. This week’s first guest will be Resident Commissioner of Puerto Rico Jenniffer Gonzalez-Colon.

“Constituents will be able to email questions to the show and have them answered on future shows by emailing AskStacey@mail.house.gov. ‘The Washington Report with Congresswoman Stacey Plaskett’ will have a unique format.The program's format will consist of an extended one-on-one interview with myself and other Congressional members, even those from the opposite side of the aisle, and other political commentators. The show will be a half-hour program.

“‘The Washington Report with Congresswoman Stacey Plaskett’ will also feature in-depth examinations of facts behind political and general news stories that affect the Virgin Islands as well as feature reports centering on socioeconomic issues affecting the people of the Virgin Islands. The show will also feature general news stories of note that occurred the previous week.”
