Bipartisan Congressional Leaders Join Congresswoman Stacey Plaskett in U.S. Virgin Islands

House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (CA-23) and House Democratic Whip Steny Hoyer (MD-05) will lead a bipartisan congressional delegation to the United States Virgin Islands on Friday, October 27 to survey hurricane damage and speak with local officials on how Congress can continue to support the relief and recovery efforts. Congress recently passed an emergency aid package to provide relief from the recent Hurricanes. The legislation authorized $36.5 billion to go to the recovery efforts for the affected communities — including the US Virgin Islands. There will be a media availability with the members of Congress immediately following their visit.
