CONGRESSWOMAN STACEY PLASKETT’S STATEMENT REGARDING THE INAUGURATION OF GOVERNOR ALBERT BRYAN AND LT. GOVERNOR TREGENZA ROACH

CHARLOTTE AMALIE, ST. THOMAS – Congresswoman Stacey E. Plaskett released the following statement regarding the inauguration of Governor Albert Bryan and Lt. Governor Tregenza Roach:

"I would like to congratulate Albert Bryan on his inauguration as the 9th elected Governor of the Virgin Islands of the United States. I look forward to working with the Bryan Roach administration as we serve the people of the territory in our respective roles. We have many challenges but huge opportunities to advance the people of the Virgin Islands.

"I echo the sentiment expressed during the inauguration ceremonies today that from St. Croix to St.  John to St Thomas and Water Island, we choose to be united as one Virgin Islands and walk and work together in one accord, into our shared and connected destiny. We celebrate our multiple islands and the fact that our different talents and unique abilities and resources make us great! I am committed to advancing the interests of our islands in the Halls of Congress and in Washington and working in collaboration with Governor Bryan and the incoming 33^rd Legislature.
