CONGRESSWOMAN PLASKETT MOURNS SUDDEN DEATH OF US HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES COLLEAGUE JACKIE WALORSKI

ST. CROIX, USVI – Congresswoman Stacey E. Plaskett released the following statement expressing her condolences to the family and friends of Congresswoman Jackie Walorski of Indiana:

“It is with deep sadness that I convey my condolences to the family, loved ones and friends of Congresswoman Walorski and her two staffers, Zachery Potts and Emma Thompson.

“Jackie and I served on the Ways and Means Committee and we also served on the Agriculture Committee together. She was stalwart in her faith, was a thoughtful member and had a tremendous work ethic. We all as Members of Congress rely so much on the young staffers who dedicate themselves to public service and I am so sad for the family of the staffers who should be so proud of those individuals’ service to our country and that their congressional family are sympathetic to the loss. 

“I, my staff, and family are grateful for Congresswoman Jackie’s service and the service of her team. I pray for God’s peace and comfort for their family and loved ones.”
