PLASKETT ANNOUNCES CONGRESSIONAL BLACK CAUCUS FOUNDATION SPRING INTERNSHIP APPLICATION DEADLINE

Washington, DC – Congresswoman Plaskett, a Member of the House Ways and Means, Budget and Agriculture Committees, released the following statement announcing the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation’s 2023 Spring Internship applications.

“The Congressional Black Caucus Foundation (CBCF) is offering several internship programs for the Spring of 2023.

These programs provide an incredible opportunity for young black professionals and college students to gain valuable work experience and knowledge that will foster important professional relationships and create avenues to success. Through these internships, individuals will be provided guidance and instruction from skilled experts about the process, development, and implementation of national policies from Capitol Hill to federal field offices.

Each internship is designed to meet the unique needs of different career focus areas. For example, the State Farm Communications program focuses on building a comprehensive skill set in press and media relations on Capitol Hill. The Emerging Leaders Internship Program, sponsored by Walmart, seeks to educate young leaders who are interested in fostering meaningful and lasting change in both Washington D.C. and their local communities. Lastly, the Pathways to C-Suite Program pairs participants with high level executives from the private sector who provide knowledge on the development of public policy and corporate America.

The application deadline is Wednesday, November 23^rd, 2022. As the date rapidly approaches, I encourage all interested to take advantage of these opportunities and apply today.”
