PLASKETT ANNOUNCES EXTENSION OF ST. JOHN LAND EXCHANGE PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD

Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Stacey E. Plaskett shared the following statement on the extension of the St. John Land Exchange public comment period:

“The National Park Service is extending the Public Comment Period on the Land Exchange Notice of Realty Action from today, February 21^st, until March 15^th. This is related to the land exchange between the Government of the Virgin Islands and the National Park Service for the construction of a K-12 school on St. John. This is the result of the advocacy of my office following a community meeting yesterday when we received notice of difficulties submitting comments. We appreciate the active engagement of the Virgin Islands community and particularly the residents of St. John, which has been invaluable to the process.

“We look forward to welcoming their comments, suggestions, and concerns.”
