PRESS STATEMENT CONGRESSWOMAN STACEY PLASKETT ANNOUNCES $1 MILLION GRANT FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES FOR THE ST. THOMAS EAST END MEDICAL CENTER Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Stacey E. Plaskett (USVI), Ranking Member on the Subcommittee on the Interior, Energy, and Environment released the following statement regarding a $1,184,580 grant from Health and Human Services (HHS) to the St. Thomas East End Medical Center: “The St. Thomas Medical Center also integrates access to pharmacy, mental health, substance use disorder, and oral health services in areas where economic, geographic, or cultural barriers limit access to affordable health care services. The St. Thomas East End Medical Center delivers care for those most vulnerable individuals and families, including people experiencing homelessness, agricultural workers, residents of public housing, and veterans. This important grant will benefit the Virgin Islands tremendously.” ### |
